GOD'S PURPOSE IN OUR LIVES, HUMANKIND, INSPIRATIONAL, SPIRITUAL LIFE

DAY 6:  God’s Purpose
in Our Lives - HUMANKIND

Have you ever asked, “What is my purpose in life?” You
aren’t alone. Many people go through life feeling discouraged about themselves
and thinking they don’t have a purpose in life. But that’s not true. Whoever
you are—whatever your life experiences, talents, physical ability, or role—you
have a purpose.

My purpose in life is
to get close to God.
The Bible tells us that you can enter into a close
relationship with God through belief in Jesus Christ.
I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God
unless he is born again. (John 3:3)
I am the bread of life. (John 6:35)
I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the
Father except through me. (John 14:6)
If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe
in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is
with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth
that you confess and are saved. (Romans 10:9-10)
My purpose in life is
to glorify God.
Bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the ends of
the earth—everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom
I formed and made. (Isaiah 43:6-7)
My purpose in life is
to praise and worship God.
All the nations you have made will come and worship before
you, O lord; they will bring glory to your name. (Psalm 86:9)
I will praise you, O Lord my God, with all my heart; I will
glorify your name forever. (Psalm 86:12)

My purpose in life is
to grow in character.
The type of person you become is more important than your
successes and failures in the world. I love this Bible verse about “the fruit
of the Spirit”:
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience,
kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. (Galatians
5:22-23)

My purpose in life is
to tell others about Jesus’ love for them.
Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds
among all peoples. (Psalm 96:3)
Make known among the nations what he has done, and proclaim
that his name is exalted. (Isaiah 12:4)

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing
them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and
teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.
(Matthew 28:19-20)

My purpose in life is
to develop and use my gifts.
Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these
members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form
one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts,
according to the grace given us. If a man’s gift is prophesying, let him use it
in proportion to his faith. If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching,
let him teach; if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing
to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him
govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully. (Romans
12:4-8)
